GUIDING VALUES
A: Ease suffering
My aim is to ease the psychological suffering of you and others by using the skills, knowledge and experience I have gained from over 20 years of working in mental health services in the NHS.
B: Sustainable and ethical practice
Materials provided are usually in digital/electronic/paper-light formats for ecological reasons. My purpose is to ensure as many people get the help they need by helping them to improve their lives.
Although I prioritise quality over quantity by only helping a certain number of clients and offering (where possible) lower rate fees (according to individual circumstances).
C: Timeliness
I have achieved a lot through working for the NHS and the experiences have given me the confidence in setting up independently. My aim is to ensure waiting times are as short as possible, and if I can’t help for whatever reason, then I will try and signpost you elsewhere for help.
D: Training & Skills Development
I will try my best to help you develop therapy skills and strategies to reduce your distress, as this will also enhance my own knowledge and skills . I am continuously updating myself by attending various courses and training sessions. Ultimately my aim is to motivate and equip individuals to help themselves.
My personal interests include cycling and swimming and a competition I set myself each summer is to aim to swim as many stretches of water as possible (not just Lidos!).
I also enjoy photography & art ( creating, as well as viewing) cinema visits, and walks in nature.
